Restorative Dentistry

The purpose of Restorative Dentistry is proper diagnosis of decay including the location and extend which is vital for selection of restorative material and procedures. The ultimate goal is caries prevention and the final restoration is designed to prevent any recurrence and further loss of tooth structure. Restoration treatment will be systematically compatible with and conductive to the welfare of the whole patient.

Decay can be incipient primary, secondary, rampant, chronic carious  lesions, pit and fissure caries. Decay starts in enamel then it involves dentin and progress deeper into the pulp of the tooth.

The filling or restorative material  selected will have the same shade colour shade while keeping the tooth  unchanged in function , besides having expected  physical mechanical biological properties to behave favourably in the oral environment.

Dental composite resins are type of synthetic resins that are used in dentistry as restorative material or adhesives. The discovery of acid etching of teeth to allow micro mechanical bond to the tooth allows good adhesions of the restoration of tooth. Very high bond strengths to tooth structure both enamel dentin can be achieved by the current generation of dentin bonding agents which is presently used in RAJAN DENTAL CENTER.
